Vincent H. Hsieh, Ph.D.

Research and Development Scientist

Vincent Hsieh obtained his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from California Institute of Technology, where he concentrated on optical information processing. Upon graduation, Dr. Hsieh went to Yale University for two years of post-doctoral research in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He is interested in the applications of photonics to the fields of biology and chemistry. His research experience consists of various fields in optics : holography, fiber-optic communication, optical filters, nonlinear optics and bio-imaging. Dr. Hsieh is a proud member of the research and development team which improves existing WTC instruments and develops new ones to advance global research in macromolecules.
